The collaboration between filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and director Arun Matheswaran has finally taken shape, as Sun Pictures officially announced their ambitious project titled DC. The announcement promo revealed that the film stars Lokesh in his acting debut as the male lead, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
Described as an action-adventure laced with romance, DC is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The makers recently unveiled a stylish poster featuring a gun and a rose, symbolically hinting at the film’s tone – a mix of grit and emotion. The characters Lokesh and Wamiqa play are named Devadas and Chandra, which together form the title abbreviation “DC.” Interestingly, the title also nods to Lokesh’s well-known admiration for DC Comics, adding a clever dual meaning to the film’s name.
According to reports, Lokesh has undergone an intensive physical transformation and combat training for his role, preparing rigorously under the guidance of action specialists to deliver authenticity in his performance.
